These terms and conditions have been approved by Trading Standards (Islington branch) and are upheld in a court of law. These terms are in compliance with the Distance Selling Regulations (2000/05) and The Sale of Goods Act. By buying from Buy Buy Bicycles, you are entering in to a contract of sale and agreeing to the following terms of sale.
All bicycles imported since January 2009 have been tested to meet the new regulations of BS EN 14764:2005
HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?
Once you have decided on a product, click the "BUY" button to add that item to your Paypal shopping basket.
You will be pleased to know that all items shown on our website with the "BUY" button on the product page are in stock in our warehouse for immediate dispatch, unless otherwise stated
When you have finished shopping, click the "CHECKOUT" button. This will then take you to a secure Paypal page for providing your credit/debit card & delivery address details.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch, Delta and Solo cards.
All payments must be made on-line via our secure checkout system.
Please note that we cannot accept telephone, fax or e-mail orders. However, we do accept cheques, made payable to Buy Buy Bicycles, 4, 9 Vernon Rise, London WC1X 9EX. Please note that delivery will be arranged after payment has cleared.

Please note: We do our upmost to arrange for your order to arrive on your chosen day but in rare circumstances, eg bad weather, acts of God, your delivery could be slightly delayed and therefore we will not be held liable for any consequential losses caused by delivery delays
On dispatch of your goods to our couriers we then will send you an e-mail confirming this.
The small number of items that are not held in stock are dispatched by our suppliers and the approximate delivery time is indicated on the appropriate items.
When you receive your goods, it is important that you inspect them before signing for the delivery. If you are suspicious that the goods are damaged, or the box containing the goods looks badly damaged, then you should NOT refuse delivery. In this event, sign for the goods "DAMAGED" and please contact us immediately (3 working days maximum) so that we can resolve the situation with our courier. Replacement goods will be sent out to you as soon as possible. If you sign for the goods and subsequently find that the goods are damaged it makes it harder for us to deal with your complaint.

CAN YOU DELIVER OUTSIDE THE UK?
For orders of bikes under 50 in quantity, we can only deliver to UK addresses unless the description next to the item says otherwise - check the postage drop down list next to the item. Please enquire about wholesale pricing overseas.
CAN YOU DELIVER ON A SATURDAY?
Yes, we can offer Saturday deliveries at an additional cost.
WILL SOMEONE NEED TO BE IN TO SIGN FOR THE GOODS?
Yes, the delivery driver will need a signature for the goods.
If you require a neighbour to accept the goods for you, please leave a note on your door advising the driver of this.
WHAT IF NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO SIGN FOR THE GOODS?
The delivery driver will attempt to re-deliver the goods later that day, or the next working day. A card may be left to inform you of this.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THER IS STILL NO ONE IN AFTER THE SECOND DELIVERY ATTEMPT?
A card is usually left by the delivery driver to inform you that the goods have been taken back to your nearest depot for collection.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE COURIER
Buy Buy Bicycles books in deliveries ON BEHALF of the customer. Any subsequent communication with the courier must be by the customer. All items are traceable. If a courier does not deliver as advised to Buy Buy Bicycles and subsequently to the customer, Buy Buy Bicycles does not take any responsibility for any loss of holiday, or any other costs that may result in a failed delivery by the courier. In the event an item has not been delivered, you must notify Buy Buy Bicycles within 2 weeks that your item has not been received. Tracking details are provided on request only. In the event that an item is tracked as delivered but you have not received your item, it is the responsibility of the customer to take this up with the courier, as Buy Buy Bicycles have no proof this was not delivered if tracking says "delivered". The courier should provide signature details. Again please request tracking information.
HOW LONG IS MY WARRANTY?
Bicycles purchased have a 12 month warranty or 1000 miles (whichever comes first), unless otherwise stated.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper assembly (such as crossed bottom bracket threads), poor maintenance or installation of parts and accessories not originally intended for, or incompatible with the bicycle as sold. Specifically the fitting or modification of rear suspension units not supplied as original equipment or fitting suspension forks with travel longer than the recommended maximum will invalidate this warranty.
Buy Buy Bicycles reserve the right not to warranty bicycles, frames or components which in their opinion have been used for riding conditions outside the limits indicated for each model. These limits can be provided on written request for clarification of these categories and the intended use for individual models.
The warranty does not apply to damage or failure due to accident, abuse, collision impact (e.g. flared headtube) or neglect. Any bicycles involved in accidents are no longer covered by warranty as it can not be determined if the fault is a result of the accident or manufacture.
Any bicycles damaged on assembly will be classed as accidental damage. It is at the discretion of Buy Buy Bicycles whether spare parts will be provided but are no way obligated to cover any costs to rectify the problem, nor replace the damaged item.
The warranty excludes bicycles used for competition, speed or time trials, hire, reward or rental. Buy Buy Bicycles shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages.
It is the customers responsibility to look after their bike with self-maintenance (e.g. lubrication) and servicing. It is recommended bicycles are fully serviced initially and then every 500 miles. It is at the discretion of Buy Buy Bicycles whether any claims are deemed to be the result of neglect or a manufacturing fault.
Warranty covers faulty parts and labour to replace those parts. Any adjustments or assembly issues which can be done under a service are not covered. Examples of this may be adjusting brakes, adjusting gears, wheel alignment / truing, handlebar adjustment etc.
Sorry we can not service your bicycle prior to dispatch. All our bicycles are set up in the factory but due to the distance and time to get to the UK, it is essential all bikes are serviced so as to not invalidate your warranty.

Buy Buy Bicycles's electric bikes are guaranteed against manufacturing defects and the following terms apply:

The Frame has a warranty of 12 months

Other main parts have a warranty of one year. This includes mechanical and electrical parts.

The battery is covered by a 6 month warranty as battery life will be determined by user care and recharging frequency. We do not accept customers claims of proper battery maintenance to extend this period as obivously we can not prove this.

Bulbs, brake blocks, inner tubes, tyres, chain, cables etc - are regarded as consumables. When consumable replacements are required, these need to be purchased from your local cycle shop or store.
Maintaining your Buy Buy Bicycles
The below details are general guidelines that should be followed to ensure best performance from the Buy Buy Bicycles throughout its life-time.
To ensure the product achieves best performance and maximum service life, the Buy Buy Bicycles should be stored in a dry, clean environment and care will maximise service life.
Procedures for maintaining the battery
The Buy Buy Bicycles battery should be stored fully charged to avoid deterioration in the performance capacity that can occur.
After the battery is charged it loses charge over the days that follow and should be topped up to optimise battery life. If the Buy Buy Bicycles is unused for a week, recharge the battery to maintain performance capacity. This is particularly important with the Lithium Ion batteries.
An unused battery will completely discharge in 30-60 days; discharged batteries will deteriorate losing capacity and performance. After a lengthy journey that exhausts most of the battery power, recharge as soon as possible. It is good practice to charge after every use, but it is not recommended to leave the battery permanently connected to the mains. Complete re-charging for Lead Acid batteries normally takes 8 hours and re-charging Li-ion will take around 6 hours.
Chargers may vary, but standard chargers have an indicator light that illuminates a red light while the battery is charging, and a green light shows when the battery charging is completed. Always charge the battery indoors and away from damp areas, or where water is used. When charging, keep both the battery and charger away from flammable materials or products. The battery will heat up while it is charging.
With proper care, battery life-expectancy for Li-ion will be in the region of 500 charge cycles. Battery longevity will be dependent on regular charging – follow the guidance in the user manual and on this website to maximise the life of the Buy Buy Bicycles battery.
New replacement batteries can be ordered from Buy Buy Bicycles.
Buy Buy Bicycles Returns Policy (UK Only)
Seven Day Cooling Off Period
Goods to be returned during the cooling off period, must be notified to Buy Buy Bicycles in writing within 7 days of the receipt of goods. Such goods must be returned in an “as new” condition in the original packaging and unused. The refund will cover the cost of the goods, but will exclude the non-refundable delivery charge. The cost and risk of returning goods is the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds are dependant on the condition of the goods received back. Damaged or incomplete goods will not be refunded in full. Goods damaged as a result of misuse will be subject to a repair and redelivery charge. The customer will be advised of all chargeable repairs before such work commences.
Repairs or replacements will be made free of charge within the warranty period, only where the fault is not caused by misuse of the product or through normal wear and tear. HOW SECURE IS MY PAYMENT TRANSACTION?
We value your security as a priority and have done our utmost to ensure none of your personal information is at risk while you are visiting our site. Our secure checkout facility uses 128-bit SSL encryption (the strongest available).
All information that you provide in the process of making a transaction will not be disclosed to any third party whatsoever.
WILL I NEED TO ASSEMBLE MY NEW BIKE?
As with any flat-packed product, some assembly and adjustments are needed. All bicycles are 95% assembled, so only a minimal amount of time and effort by a competent person is needed to complete the final assembly. Expect to spend between 10 & 30 minutes to complete the bike.
On all models you will definitely have to screw in the handbars, pedals and seatpost - this is very straight forward. The mudguards and reflectors may need attaching also. In some cases the brakes and front wheel may need attaching - we will supply instructions on how to do this. Also see our manuals page.
On the Urbanite models, an Alan Key is provided. You may need a small spanner and a screwdriver to attach the mudguards.
Buy Buy Bicycles will not provide refunds on the basis that a customer can not assemble their bike - it is the customers responsibility to find a competent person to help. These bikes are flat packed products, hence the lower prices.
Brakes and gears may need adjusting - this is the buyers responsibility and instructions can be sent on request.
ARE THE BIKES ROAD SAFE?
Bikes are put through a series of tests by the
manufacturer before they are shipped to the UK.
Buy Buy Bicycles has had an independent bike shop
review each model to confirm these are road safe.
However, there may be some instances where there
are faults, as with any batch of imported products.
It is therefore imperative that all bikes are
assembled correctly and tested off road first.
Buy Buy bicycles accepts no responsibility for
assembly and any injuries incurred whilst cycling.
All models have been tested to CEN 14764:2005.
WHAT IF I HAVE A COMPLAINT?
In the unlikely event that you should feel the need to complain, we will try our best to reach a satisfactory resolution for you. Please e-mail to customerservices@buybuybicycles.com should you feel this necessary.
Please note Buy Buy Bicycles does not take any responsibility for accidents occurring when cycling on a bicycle you have purchased from us. It is the buyers responsibility to check the bike has been assembled securely and tested before taking the bike out in public.
MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
The 21 day money back guarantee* means you can return the bike, unused, in it's original condition, with all accessories and boxed. If on returning the item, it appears as though the item has been used, a full refund will not be granted as the item will then be deemed as second-hand and charges deducted accordingly. Please note we will not accept excuses for not checking the bike within 21 days. Any problems reported after 21 days are then covered by your warranty. Repacking and return costs will be deducted as outlined below.
WARRANTY AND SERVICING
A small amount of assembly is required, as with all mail order / flat packed bikes. Assembly / adjustment instructions are available on request and it is the buyers responsibility.
A serviced is required all on bicycles prior to use. This is for the safety of the customer and in order not to invalidate your warranty conditions under neglect.
We do not cover servicing costs. All bicycles
have been assembled, lubricated and adjusted at
the manufacturing end. They have not been fully
serviced and it may have been some time before
the bicycle arrives at your doorstep since the
bicycle was lubricated. Under your warranty conditions
it is essential you have your bicycle serviced
before use to ensure safe assembly and set up. If you use your bicycle before it
has been serviced (and therefore hasn't been tested
for any potential problems) and damage occurs
as a result of neglect, your warranty will be
void. An example of this could be the gears haven't
been set up properly and the chain gets caught and snaps.
Proof of servicing will be required.
WARRANTY MEANS REPAIR OF THE BIKE AND LABOUR TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. This does not mean a replacement unless the bike is irreparable. Refunds are not given under your warranty - if the bike is irreparable, a replacement bike will be sent.
If any parts on the items are faulty, or develop a fault during your warranty period, we will send out replacement parts free of charge, so long as they are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Any labour/fitting charges will be negotiated.
It is the buyers responsibility to find a local
bike shop for replairs. We do not cover any expenses
regarding getting to and from your local shop.
We do not do repairs in-house.
Buy Buy Bicycles reserves the right to personally inspect any items and conduct an interview at the customers premises in order to validate whether the claim is covered by the warranty.
CLEARANCE BIKES. Our description next to the items is as accurate as we can make it and are written in good faith. If any further damage is incurred during delivery, it is the responsibility of the customer to take this up with the carrier. Warranty for parts and labour only will still apply for problems other than the reason the bike is marked as a clearance item for, e.g. if a bike is sold on the basis that the gears need adjusting, parts and labour will not cover gears. Warranty for clearance items is up to 50% of the value paid for the bike to include parts and labour.
For any bikes won via an ebay auction for 50% or more less than the standard website price, no warranty will be provided. Any parts or labour will be the responsibility of the buyer. No replacements will be sent in this situation. This covers both normal and clearance bikes. No exceptions!
* replacement goods will only be sent where the fault is deemed to have occurred within your warranty period.
WHAT SAFTEY GUARANTEES DO YOU PROVIDE?
The safety of our customers is of upmost importance. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the bikes are assembled correctly and safe to ride. Any problems with bicycles will be corrected as laid out in the Terms and Conditions above. All our bikes are manufactured to British Standards and CEN 14764:2005.
2IMPORTANT NOTES
All postage costs relating to the returning of goods will be the responsibility of the buyer (except when the goods are either faulty or incorrect and returned within the 21 day period).
If a part is missing, damaged or broken, there is usually no need to send the whole product back. Contact us and we will send any item(s) to you free of charge the next working day (whenever possible).
Buy Buy Bicycles reserve the right to adjust these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Refunds are only given if bikes are deemed irreparable / irreplaceable and form a problem within the warranty period - in no other circumstances are refunds given, unless with the 21 day money back guarantee period. Any third party companies affiliated / working with Buy Buy Bicycles accept these terms and conditions.
HOW ACCURATE IS YOUR WEBSITE?
We have done everything to ensure that the descriptions of the items on the website are as accurate as possible, but we all make mistakes sometimes and so cannot be held responsible for any real or perceived discrepancies of products from their descriptions.
Sometimes if we are out of stock we may source directly from our supplier and the bike branding (aesthetic only) may be different, e.g. a different logo. If this is a problem you must let us know. We will let you know if we are sourcing directly from our supplier.

Only x1 offer can be applied to a purchase at any given time. For example, if we are offering a 10% discount for pre-ordering, you can not get another 10% off because you are a Caravan Club Member - you still get 10% off!

Should a customer request for one of Buy Buy Bicycles staff to take payment over the telephone, it is taken that the customer agrees to our terms of sales. It is not Buy Buy Bicycles responsibility to read these out. We do not accept as an excuse to breach this contract that a customer claims to not have seen them as they have ordered over the phone. Printed terms and conditions are available on request. Every company has a contract of sale and any sales are bound to this contract in a court of law.
