Fixed gear track bikes have become affiliated with the streets of New York, but they are the latest influence to arrive from America to the UK.
Fixed gear gives the rider a better feel for the bike, especially when riding in icy or rainy conditions, and exercises your legs more than geared cycles.
Riding fix gear gives you a better connection with bike so you get more control making it very popular in cites like New York and London.
The track bikes have flip-flop rear hubs meaning that you can switch back to free wheel riding when you need to, and with front and rear caliper brakes it is designed to be safely ride-able in the cities.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
The sealed bottom bracket unit fitted to your CREATE bike has been manufactured to withstand the rigours of normal riding.
Create bikes are aware that some of our customers not only spend large amounts of time in (and out of) the saddle but when using their bike as a 'fixie' they subject it to a great deal of harsh and sometimes abusive riding.
Under extreme conditions such as hard braking using only the fixed wheel, balancing the bike by standing/jumping on the pedals and performing BMX type stunts, etc., the tensile loads and torsional forces the bottom bracket axle is subjected to are immense. Ultimately, this can lead to the premature failure of this component.
For this type of rider, or riding style, we strongly suggest that a replacement bottom bracket sealed unit is purchased and fitted. We recommend the Shimano UN26/110 or 113 which can be purchased from us at the price of £9.99 or if you prefer, from your local bicycle shop.
